Regular Study Program

If you come from abroad and want to study at the KIT-Department of Architecture, you have several options. In addition to studying for a certain time period, regular studies with a KIT degree as well as the German-French double master's degree in Architecture are also possible.

Bachelor in Architecture

The six-semester bachelor's program in Architecture concludes with a Bachelor of Science degree. Each semester, a draft is worked on which is accompanied by compulsory and specialization subjects.

Master in Architecture

The four-semester master's program in Architecture concludes with the Master of Science degree. In each semester a project, including a thematic specialization, has to be worked on.

Bachelor in Art History

The six-semester bachelor's program in Art History concludes with a Bachelor of Arts degree. The program prepares you theoretically and practically for the various fields of activity within Art History.

Master in Art History

The four-semester master's program in Art History concludes with the Master of Arts. During this course of studies you can set your own academic focus and thus plan your professional career course for the future.

German-French Double Master

Together with the École Nationale Supérieure de l'Architecture de Strasbourg ENSAS, the KIT-Department of Architecture offers the German-French Double Master’s Program. Graduates can establish themselves as experts in the field of architecture and urban planning for cross-border issues as well as for regional and economic issues of architecture, urban and landscape planning.

Application and enrollment of international students for a regular study course at the KIT-Department of Architecture: 

Educational residents:
Germans, foreigners with a German university entrance qualification ("Bildungsinländer"), and foreign applicants from a member state of the European Union have to apply for a study place in due form and time using the central online application portal located within the KIT Business unit Studium und Lehre: KIT's central online application portal. Please also note the applicable application deadlines.

All other international applicants:
Please apply directly to the KIT International Students Office. There you will also get an overview of the application deadlines.

Tuition fees/scholarships: 

Students aiming at completing a degree at KIT should contact the International Students Office for information on possible tuition fees/payments that need to be made. There you will also receive information on financing and scholarships.
