Library
The Architecture Library (FBA) currently holds approx. 22,000 volumes, of which approx. 3,400 are journal volumes. It holds 45 current journals.
The books are sorted by subject, with a focus on the 20th and 21st centuries (after 1945), although there may be overlaps with the library of the Chair of Building and Architectural History.
The rooms of the architecture library are spread over three floors. The "Werner Sewing Library" is located on the ground floor. It is open to the public, the books can be searched online and can be viewed on site, but not borrowed. The books are sorted by subject on the 1st floor, while the volumes of periodicals are located on the 2nd floor.
There are 21 reading workstations, two scanner workstations and two computers for research. The library is equipped with WLAN, and the Seat Finder will provide you with free workstations at the KIT or the BLB.
Library introductions take place at the beginning of the semester. There are also regular training courses offered by the KIT library. Information on this can be found on the KIT library website.
Library Council
The library council of the faculty agrees on book acquisitions and organizes book presentations. Acquisition suggestions are welcome!
