New at the department
Bastian Gäng, Dipl.-Ing.(FH), studied architecture at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) after his apprenticeship as a carpenter. He worked in various architectural offices and construction companies in Karlsruhe, where he was responsible for the preparation of competitions and the work and detail planning. Furthermore, he worked in an architectural modeling and furniture workshop in Karlsruhe. His activities there focused on the planning and production of exhibition, presentation and competition models as well as the construction of prototypes. In addition, the planning and production of individually manufactured furniture were in his field of activity.
Bastian Gäng is looking forward to his new field of activity as head of the Model Making Study Workshop with pleasure and special interest. "I am already very much looking forward as head of the Model Making Study Workshop to share my knowledge and experience with the students and thus to accompany, support, and advance them on their way at KIT."
Bastian Gäng succeeds Manfred Neubig, who headed the workshop since 2001 and retired at the end of March.
