The TerraTimber project by the "Digital Design and Fabrication" and "Design of Structure" professorships has been nominated for the ArchDaily 2025 Building of the Year Awards in the "Small Scale & Installations" category. The ArchDaily Building of the Year Awards recognize the most remarkable architectural achievements worldwide.

TerraTimber presents an innovative method for the digital upcycling of reclaimed timber to create circular building systems that enable the sustainable transformation of reclaimed materials into structural elements. This approach uses computer-aided tools and augmented reality (AR) manufacturing processes to manage the complexity of various non-standardized reclaimed wood materials.
