Ishay Hochman

Ishay Hochman took over the management of the metal workshop on January 1, 2025.

He succeeds Andreas Heil, who has managed the workshop since the 1990s and retired at the end of 2024.

After training as a metalworker/construction technician in metalworking, Ishay Hochman worked in the development and construction of machine prototypes of all kinds for internationally renowned companies.

He realized metal constructions all over Europe, for example for elevators or in the field of interior design, such as for restaurants and bars. He was also active in furniture design and construction, creating everything from unique pieces of furniture to lamp designs.

He has also been involved in the design and construction of kitchens, building solutions for large construction companies and the production of metal sculptures.
Ishay Hochman is originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, and has lived in Karlsruhe for many years. In his free time, he enjoys sports, artistic activities and cooking.

As the new head of the metal workshop, he is looking forward to passing on his extensive experience in design and working with metals to the younger generation. Here's to a good collaboration!
