New at the department

Meinrad Morger was appointed to the professorship of building science on 1 April 2017. He succeeds Prof. Daniele Marques.

Prof. Morger was born in Appenzell (CH) in 1957. After an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman, he studied at the HTL Winterthur. From 1987 to 1993 he gained his first teaching experience as an assistant at the ETH Zurich.
After guest professorships at EPFL Lausanne and ETH Zurich, he was a professor at the University of Applied Sciences of Central Switzerland for Technology + Architecture in Horw from 2003 to 2008 and a university professor for building theory and fundamentals of design at RWTH Aachen in Germany from 2008 to 2010. Subsequently, he was university professor for building theory at the TU Darmstadt from 2010 to 2017.

In 1988 Meinrad Morger founded the office Morger & Degelo with Heinrich Degelo. This was followed in 2006 by the founding of the office Morger + Dettli with Fortunat Dettli, which was renamed Morger Partner in 2015 and is led by Meinrad Morger with partners Henning König and Martin Klein.
